Outdated PHP?Your website could be at risk.
An outdated version can go unnoticed. Find out what your website reveals and understand your next step.
Let’s take a look.
Paste your public website address. We look for a version advertised in its responses.
Version hidden? We explain how to confirm it.
What the page also reveals
Public platform, theme and plugin clues. They add context to the PHP check without replacing confirmation of the actual setup.
View platform clues
Public files can come from a parent theme, child theme or cache. Confirm the active theme in your dashboard. Declared PHP minimums do not trigger runtime version warnings.
Public plugin directories found
These directory names do not prove installed versions, activation or vulnerabilities. The list may be incomplete.
Some responses could not be checked. This result covers only the responses received.

A useful signal.
A clear next step.
We look
We check the submitted page, relevant public PHP pages and, when WordPress is detected, its public endpoints. We compare the advertised versions.
We explain
If we find your PHP version, we tell you whether it is still supported. If it stays hidden, we explain how to confirm it.

Patches matter too.
On 21 October 2026, the PHP project released fixes for two critical vulnerabilities. Additional guidance followed on 23 October. This public check cannot verify your host’s patches or configuration.

Before changing anything.
Why check PHP?
PHP powers many websites, including WordPress. A branch no longer maintained by the PHP project calls for a conversation with your host about available patches and a compatible upgrade.
Can this check confirm that my website is vulnerable?
No. We read information advertised in public responses. An advertised version cannot verify your host’s patches, your server configuration or every risk affecting your website.
Why is my PHP version unknown?
Some servers hide this information. That is normal. It proves neither that PHP is absent nor that your website is up to date. Your host or WordPress Site Health can confirm the version actually in use.
Should I simply switch to PHP 8?
Choose a branch that is still maintained, install its patches and check your website’s compatibility. Some PHP 8 branches are already unsupported. We can help you prepare and test the transition.
Not sure? Let’s talk.
Even when the version is hidden, we can help you understand your setup and prepare the next step.
