Connecting the product page to personalisation
For Maison Shiiba, custom theme development included the product page and a complete candle personalisation flow. The aim was to make configuration part of the purchase journey, connecting the product presentation with the customer’s choices.

Seeing the design come together in real time
A live preview lets customers see how their chosen design and text look during personalisation. The preview updates as they make changes, allowing them to see the combination before continuing with their order.
Customers can also upload their own design. This complements the available designs and lets them personalise a candle with their own artwork and chosen text.

Structuring data with metaobjects
The builder uses a structured system of Shopify metaobjects to simplify data management. Information needed by the flow is organised within that structure, making it easier to work with. The project therefore addressed both the visible customer experience and the data supporting it.
Extending the mini-cart
The mini-cart received a full update with complementary product suggestions and a rewards system, including free-shipping incentives. This touchpoint continues the personalisation journey and presents basket-related benefits before checkout.
Advising on UX and observing behaviour
The work also included UX consultation and PostHog integration. PostHog was introduced to help identify bugs and the stages where visitors leave the funnel. It provides an observation layer for investigating difficulties and informing subsequent improvements.
