A second-hand marketplace with its own workflows
Jaiio is a French fashion resale marketplace. Sellers send in their items; the team checks their quality and lists them for sale. When an item sells, Jaiio retains a commission and pays the remaining balance to its owner.
The migration from PrestaShop needed to preserve this workflow while improving how data moved between the tools used by the team.

Preparing and migrating the data
The work started with a product taxonomy. Standard Shopify fields and custom metafields provided a way to represent the information held in PrestaShop.
Existing products and customers were then exported, processed and imported into Shopify. The storefront theme was designed and developed around Jaiio’s brand identity.
Rebuilding the seller journeys
The business model required custom features: a form for declaring and submitting items for sale, and a dashboard where sellers could view their listed items, follow their status and track associated payments.

Keeping Shopify and business tools in sync
A server was set up to handle webhooks between Shopify and Make. The scope also included data exchanges with Airtable, keeping information consistent across the team’s tools.
The delivery combined migration, theme development, seller experiences and integrations. Shopify became the foundation for the marketplace, supported by the custom capabilities its business model required.
